Official inauguration of the offices of ICVolontaires-France04 April 2007 It was in presence of the French managing board, team members from the Geneva office that the Mayor of Ferney-Voltaire, Pierre-Etienne Duty, inaugurated, on 2nd April 2007, the offices at 13 chemin du Levant, at the "Centre International des Affaires". Some 20 volunteers and friends joined the official ceremony. Among the guest were also Mr. Terminal of the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de l'Ain (CCI), journalists of the "Dauphiné libéré", the "Petit Ferneysien" and the local press. In a friendly ambiance, Viola Krebs, founder of ICVolunteers, thanked the municipality and the CCI of Ain for their support. Mme Krebs then handed an envelop to the administrator of the offices, letter which contained the agreement for additional office space. Mme Krebs underlined with this gesture ICVolunteers desire to see its projects develop and prosper shortly. With a friendly drink, the actors of the ICV-France office presented themselves. The ICV team in France is now composed of Sophie Richardon, Jay Wilson, Sylvie Nicole, Rabah Tounsi, Stéphanie Veillet. Mme Krebs then underlined the aims, objectives and futures projects that are in preparation in the field. With respect to the future, Sophie Richardson, office coordinator, briefly presented the projects of conferences, the accompanying of immigrants in their administrative and social undertakings, as well as two projects, one focusing on prevention in the field of health for young people and the other linked to environmental awareness raising. All left reaffirming on both side their desire to work together, for the officials offering support, for the ICV team to build solid cooperation between existing and future partners.
