Despite the arctic conditions hundreds of volunteers showed up in 71 shopping centres all around the canton of Geneva, achieving a harvest of 79 tons of household products.
ICVolunteers was in charge of one stall, where a total of 3 tons of produce were collected. Ben Dixon, in charge of the coordination for the stall: "We can be very proud of the result, as we managed to contribute to almost 4% of the total quantity collected, and we only had one stall!"
The overall coordination of Samedi du partage is lead by the association 'Partage' and the Centre Genevois du Volontariat.
These products will now be distributed between the 60 beneficiary associations working for those in need.
